It's the Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend which means turkey, family, hikes, and 3 days work free. I'm always grateful for this break to spend some time with my family. My sister invited the whole family at her house for dinner. She cooked a beautiful turkey with all the sides. It was fantastic and the company couldn't be better.
The photos above are from my hike today. I always end up at Rouge River during fall to capture the maples change colours. It was a beautiful fall day. Sunny and warm! Unbelievable!! I had to take full advantage of it now before I leave for Italy next weekend. I didn't want to miss it.
Italy next week! I'm excited but fully not ready yet mentally as I have a lot to do before I go. I am dreading to pack but I think I'm going to start putting things on my suitcase tomorrow so I don't panic.
Wishing you all a great Thanksgiving and hope you are enjoying it with your family and friends!
P.S. If you have any recommendations for restaurants, sights, etc. for Rome, Naples, and Amalfi Coast please let me know. Much appreciated!
Wow! Lovely views of fall. It is not even close to fall here... still in the 90s and 100s. :( I'd love to transport myself into your photos right about now!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite time before it's starts getting too cold.
DeleteOh wow, those colors are just beautiful. I totally love seeing the colors change with the season. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! :)

Thank you!
DeleteOooh that's a lovely view with the leaves starting to change color! The problem with Rome is what not to recommend seeing lol. Don't forget that Saint Peter's Basilica has a dress code. If you decide to go with the Omnia Roma Pass, space out your time reservations. An hour is not enough for the Basilica (separate from Vatican time slot) because you will want to go up to see the view as well (which I missed because I scheduled the Vatican right after). Oh, and the Pantheon is a must!! (it's also free). The Trevi Fountain was under construction last year in the summer, hopefully they are finished by now.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim! I already booked my Vatican/Sistine Chapel tickets so I don't have to wait in line. Going to try to see what I can in the limited time that I have. It seems I need months in Rome to see it all.
ReplyDeleteI think the Trevi is still under construction. Sad to miss it but the more reason to keep coming back to Italy.
Beautiful color changes! I wish I had recommendations for those places, it would mean I'd been there recently! Rome is a place full of delights - simply step off the main roads onto the side streets and you'll have some of the best food you've ever had in your life!

Beautiful colors! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were Canadian! It's so weird adjusting to the American Thanksgiving date... I preferred having it in October. We're thinking of just sticking to the Canadian date going forward.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying looking through your Korea posts!
I live in Toronto! American Thanksgiving is so late. I like having a couple a long break between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Get myself prepared for the holidays.
