I was born in the Philippines but my family and I moved to Canada when I was almost in my teens. I have a lot of good memories there and I went to visit "home" again in 2009. It was my first time going there alone since I usually go with my family. I spent two weeks in Manila and the Bicol province (where I was born).
Let me take you back to my memories of the Philippines; my second home. I still have a lot of relatives living there and it's always nice to catch up with them and spend some quality time.
My first stop was Manila (capital city). I stayed with my relatives and the first thing I did was to EAT and shop of course!
Courtyard of Mall of Asia. The malls in Manila are huge! The interiors and exterior blend together and they even had a skating rink inside.
San Augustin Church
Beautiful interiors inside the church

You have a really lovely blog here :)
ReplyDeletep.s. When I visited San Francisco I did the usual touristy things because I was there for only 3 days. Fisherman's Wharf, walking around everywhere (strenuous at timess!), you can do a simple walking tour of the historical landmarks and so on.
I simply love the atmosphere and appeal of the city!
Thank you! I can't wait to go to San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteLovely! John and I have both worked for or with people from the Phillipines for the last 5 years and want to go so bad after all the delicious food we've tried from them! That and the wicked awesome karaoke. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah - you guys should definitely go! I have more posts to share..lots of food photos, volcanoes, etc.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you know so much about our culture especially karaoke! Lol.
